Founded in 1969, Karma Group is one of Bhutan’s longest established and most diversified business conglomerates. Originating as Karma Steel and Wood Industry in Phuentsholing, the Group was among the first manufacturing enterprises in the country, established during Bhutan’s early phase of economic modernization. From the outset, the Group differentiated itself through a disciplined focus on quality, operational integrity, and long-term value creation-principles instilled by its Founder, Dasho Passang Dorji, and embedded into the organization’s DNA.
